Specialist Products for Vehicles & Boats > Maxxair MaxxFan roof vents
If you want to improve the ventilation in your motorhome, caravan or boat but air conditioning isn't an option, maybe a MaxxFan is. Designed in the USA, a MaxxFan will keep the air moving on even the hottest days, creating a constant cooling, refreshing breeze. As well as bringing air into the vehicle, when the fan is reversed, stale air will be sucked out.
Fitting into a standard 40 x 40 roof light space, and running on 12V, a MaxxFan can be used while the vehicle is stationary or in motion. A MaxxFan is a really fantastic piece of equipment and they are fitted as standard equipment in many American motorhomes.
Using a remote control, the fan speed can be adjusted and the top of the unit opened and closed. If you should lose the remote control, the MaxxFan can still be operated using a control panel built into the unit.
INSTALLATION
A MaxxFan unit will replace a standard 40 x 40 roof light and it must also be connected to a 12V supply. This is not a particularly difficult job if you know what you're doing (you can download the installation manual below) but, if you're in any doubt, get an expert to do it for you.
IMPORTANT NOTE! Maxxfan products are designed to run on 12V from a leisure battery. If they are connected to a voltage above 13.8V, they can be seriously damaged. Damage caused by excessive voltage is not covered by the warranty.
