Privacy Policy of RoadPro Ltd.
Introduction
Like any business, in order to operate efficiently RoadPro uses data concerning its customers. We take our obligations regarding this information very seriously and we keep your data safe and secure. We don’t sell it, give it away or share it in any way at all but, to reassure you, we have produced this Privacy Policy. Please read it and, if you have any questions about it, contact our Data Manager by sending an email to info@roadpro.co.uk.
The data we collect
In almost every case, this is simply your name, address, phone number, email address and details of the products you have bought from us and how we have interacted with you: that’s it. We don’t keep records of your payment details other than the method which you used to pay. Your data is kept securely on the servers that we use to run our business.
Our website
If you use our website (www.roadpro.co.uk), small data files called cookies will be placed on your computer or other device. This is standard practice for all websites.
Cookies are essential for helping us deliver a high quality website and online shopping experience for our customers and some collect information about browsing and buying behaviour.
By using and browsing RoadPro’s website, you consent to cookies being used in accordance with our policy. If you do not consent, you must disable cookies or refrain from using the site. You can do this through your browser’s settings menu and selecting the appropriate cookie removal option.
When someone visits www.roadpro.co.uk we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard Internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
Our mailing list
If you register to receive our e-newsletter, we collect personal information concerning only your name and email address. We use that information to tell you about products, events and other information that we think may be of interest to you.
We use a third-party provider, Mailing Manager to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see Mailing Manager’s privacy notice.
You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing our Data Manager at info@roadpro.co.uk.
Another reason we may want to contact you
If you have purchased something from us, it may be necessary for us to contact you with information concerning that product. For example: a safety recall from the manufacturer or a change in the way a product will work. A good example of this is when a satellite operator changes the frequencies which are used by automatic satellite systems to locate the signal.
In situations such as this, it is useful for both you and us if we can send you the information as quickly as possible.
WiFi
We offer free WiFi access to visitors to our Daventry offices. When you use our WiFi, we collect no data at all about your device or what you do with it.
Access to your personal information
You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold. Email your request to our Data Manager at info@roadpro.co.uk
Changes to this Privacy Notice
We may update this privacy notice from time to time. Please review it regularly. This version was issued on May 12th, 2018.
